Words from Grace Turner

I would like to send heart-felt condolences to Professor Mack's wife, daughter, and nephew. Earlier in my career I worked in the Museum & Archaeology Section of The Bahamas' national Archives. In the early 1990s Mark Mack completed the skeletal analysis on a collection of indigenous Lucayan remains from a blue hole on Andros Island. This skeletal analysis provided important new insight on the health and lifestyle of the Lucayan people prior to their 15th century encounter with Europeans. We remained very appreciative of the invaluable assistance Professor Mack had provided to us. This devastating loss for his family is indeed also felt by the many people Professor Mark Mack has had an impact on during his professional life.
